One of the most common questions when repairing a cylinder head is which valve seal guide is correct. There are two types for the Cummins 6B: seals 3921640, which are older; and the 3957912 seals which are more modern. The first ones were assembled on the 6B engines until April 2003 and the second ones, called "Top Hat", began to be marketed from that same date.
